"Keep Calm and Mortgage On!" is the theme for the Nebraska Mortgage Association's 2019 Annual Conference!  This year's Conference and Golf Outing will be held September 17 and 18. The golf outing on Tuesday, September 17 will be held at Yankee Hill Country Club, 7600 San Mateo Lane in Lincoln, with the opening welcome reception to follow that evening at Hyatt Place Hotel in Lincoln's Haymarket area at 600 Q St.

The Conference will be held Wednesday, September 18 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center, located at 2021 Transformation Drive in Lincoln.

Conference Registration includes the Tuesday evening opening reception, all Wednesday sessions, continental breakfast, lunch and admission to the trade show. 

The golf outing check-in will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Yankee Hill Country Club, with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start.

8:45 - 10:15 a.m. -- Ernie Goss, PhD, Professor of economics at Creighton University Heider College of Business - "A Fearless Forecast For the Mortgage Market in 2020"

As an economist, Dr. Goss is a highly respected, nationally-known expert on the mid-American economy who can articulate how regional economic situations can impact the nation or the world – and vice versa. His wide-ranging presentation will look at interest rates, The Federal Reserve, housing supply and surveys he conducts with regards to the housing market. He's also address multiple generations and how their buying habits will affect the supply and demand..

10:30 – 11:30 a.m. -- Joe Micallef -- Award Winning, International Sales Strategist and Coach --"Win More Business By Mastering the Sales Process"

Selling professionally is all about working with a customer and helping them through a defined process to meet their needs and make them feel good about buying. To truly improve selling skills you need to be excellent at every step in the process. The starting point for those wanting to develop their skills is to understand that selling is a process we take clients through in a linear fashion. This program will explore what the steps are and highlight fundamentals and common mistakes.  You'll gain a better understanding of the critical steps of a sales process and how to achieve sales excellence.

12:00 - 1:30 p.m. -- Lunch & Annual Awards/Business Meeting featuring Ernie Jolly, Associate Vice President, Legislative & Political Affairs for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA): “MBA Update” plus Presentation of the NMA's "Mortgage Professional of the Year" Award

Ernie Jolly joined MBA earlier this year from Capitol Hill, where he most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Rep. Gregory W. Meeks, D-N.Y. Previously, he served as Meeks' Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative Director and at the beginning of his career, as a legislative assistant, He also previously served as a policy analyst at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors and a professional staff member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance.

1:30 - 2:00 p.m. -- Champions CIrcle Award Recognition & Afternoon Break

 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. -- Paul Long -- Speaker and sales consultant -- "Connecting the Workplace and Life Through F.U.N."
